Our story doesn’t begin in a corporate boardroom. It starts on a cramped ice pack, in the frustrating silence of a halted workout, and in the shared realization that recovery deserved better.
We are a handful of engineers, athletes, and dreamers who bonded over a common frustration. One of us was navigating a tedious knee rehab, cycling through melting ice packs that offered fleeting, superficial relief. Another, a data-obsessed engineer, saw not just a personal inconvenience, but a profound technological oversight. Why was one of the most fundamental pillars of physical recovery—cold therapy—still reliant on imprecise, inefficient, and frankly, archaic methods? We believed that if technology could map genomes and connect continents, it could certainly solve the simple problem of delivering consistent, deep, and comfortable cold.
That shared “why” ignited Barong Yekhna. We chose the name deliberately. Barong, the mythical guardian, represents our mission: to protect and restore your body’s balance. Yekhna, signifying unity and uniqueness, reflects our founding team—a diverse yet unified force driven by a singular vision. We are not a faceless corporation; we are a young, agile team of innovators who code, design, and test alongside our earliest users.

We built our first Cold Therapy Machine prototype in a garage, fueled by equal parts passion and caffeine.
